Red Fox Hunts For Food In The Winter
There is something really satisfying about observing a wild animal such as this Red Fox in its natural habitat.
One winter in Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada, we observed this Red Fox as it foraged for food beneath the deep snow.
It certainly covered the ground quickly…
though moving at a slow trot.
The Red Fox searched in the woods under tree boughs…
and beneath inches of fresh snow in its quest for something to eat.
With its head buried in the snow, it was difficult for the Red Fox to keep alert to its surroundings so surfaced every so often for a quick look around.
By pawing the snow, the red fox came up with several tidbits that had been long buried.
Yum! Yum!
