Bull Moose In Algonquin Provincial Park

Of course, when Bob and I visit Algonquin Provincial Park, we are always hoping to see a Moose. Not just any Moose but a bull Moose with a big rack is the desired creature! Well, we did get our wish albeit distant views of said beast on a recent damp, dreary and dark morning. Exploring the Great Sand Hills in Saskatchewan

The first day of summer in Saskatchewan broke rainy and cool with the mercury sitting at 9° Celsius at 10 a.m.  Despite the bleak morning, our spirits were lifted by a candlelit breakfast since the power had been knocked out in Val Marie.  Although we were sad to leave Grasslands National Park, our next destination, Great Sand Hills Ecological Reserve, promised to deliver a unique experience. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to make this video as part of my wife’s, Jean’s, birthday gift.  As you will see, this video highlights our travels to South Africa, and it features Jean.

Hopefully, you all enjoy it, and in a small way, you are able to take a short virtual tour of South Africa with Jean.

For now, because of the pandemic, we remain “Out Of Africa”.  Hopefully someday, Jean and I, and all of you, will be able to head back “Into Africa”.

A Tour of New Zealand’s Only White Heron Sanctuary
